To all our friends at home and abroad, to those who will be here, to those who won’t be here, to those who can’t be here, to those who couldn’t be bothered being here and especially to those with brand new tatas may you all have a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful, healthy & prosperous 2017.
First weekend in October sees the Clapton Unplugged album brought to the stage, in all its glory, in Cork and Killarney. Cobh has managed bit of a coup in that a full rehearsal has been arranged for next Weds night in the Comm.
As an added attraction, monies raisd on the door will go towards an electric wheelchair for The Spy. Tickets are a very reasonable 8 yoyos and, unless sold out beforehand, will be available at the door.
Spread the word. Contact for tickets at the moment are Sir Norman or Shane or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Great to see that Mr Milan Miller has been nominated in the Songwriter of the Year category at this year’s International Bluegrass Music Association. Though no stranger to these awards, having had a few songs previously nominated, it’s his 1st time in the songwriter category.
Hopefully when he and Melanie arrive on these shores in late Oct, the award will be in his possession!
Two of Cobh’s most (in)famous dynasties join together this weekend when Evelyn, eldest daughter of Lichie & Trish, and Michael, youngest son of Micka & Annette, return from Ozland to tie the knot.
As we speak, there is two truckloads of blaas making their way from the Déise to feed the masses while you can also expect strange accents from the likes of Tommy & the Crunch to be echoing in Scourge’s corner over the weekend. Meanwhile the Pidge is expected to make a surprise visit to the Donk, if he can remember that the door now swings outwards!
The very best of wishes to Mikey & Evvy and here’s to a long, prosperous and happy life together.
Hard to believe that it’s a year since the Pidge and Mrs Carlos vacated the premises.
Happy Anniversary to Tiggie & co.
A hectic weekend coming up what with the rugby decider against the South Africans, the u-20s rugby final Vs England and the last 16 Euro cup match Vs France.

Round about now the Smond and the Clarewoman are tying the knot. Here’s to years of bliss and be nice to each other when Tipp and Clare meet.
