Yes folks, it’s nearly that time again. Now in its 479th year, this years Ticksgiving takes place on Friday, Dec 7th. As usual, entry is a donation of a wrapped Christmas present for boy or girl while the raffle will have a humdinger of a hamper and other superb prizes.
Music on the night provided by Gilbert’s Lane, Motty & Friends and the mind blowing, explosive, enchanting and musically gifted Barry & the Christmas Three.
We are appealing for any spot prizes for our raffle on the night with all proceeds going DIRECTLY to autism services & local respite centre in Cobh, under the Cope Foundation and Bonnington Training Centre, & An Tuath Nua (formerly Cabas). Olga will gladly relieve you of any prize you should like to donate.

A stalwart of Cork Folk & Traditional music, Timmy the Brit was one of the founders of the Cork Folk Festival. Probably more noted for his set dancing, and teaching of same, a concert, featuring the cream of Cork folk musicians, to honour Timmy and to celebrate his huge contribution to the living traditional music and dance scene in Cork is being held on Sunday Apr 29th at the Oliver Plunkett. It’s not the Donkey, like, but it’s an afternoon gig which means you’ll be back well before closing time!!! Line up below;
