A customer who took umbrage with the landlord
of the above premises with regards to the price of a pint was
unsuccessful in his attempt to regain a refund on recently purchased
alcohol.
Richard O Connor, also known as Lichie, of Lake Road in Cobh, was also
ordered to pay costs has been limited to four pints of Guinness on any
one night.
The order was sought at Ticknock District Court by Michael Buckley,
Senior Master Bater, and former close ally of O Connor. He told
the court in an affidavit last February of foul and obnoxious behaviour
coming from O Connor at regulare intervals, usually after having paid 5p
a pint less in Pillars. Despite witness revelations to support the
O Connor theory, owner Michael Carlos rejected all allegatons and
proceded to destroy any and all of the evidence presented.
Despite the fact that the only thing missing from this court was a
kangaroo, a file has been sent to the DPPT and advice has been
sought from Cobh's only recognised QC. This matter has not yet
reached it's end......... |
